The rap game has definitely evolved into a whole entire culture with tons of different subcultures located within the culture of hip hop itself. One of the newest up and coming subcultures being underground. We have come together to make a list of some of the hottest underground rappers rapping right now.

1. Night Lovell

Known for his super dark sound, Night Lovell has been known for his extremely filtered vocals, dark melodies, and very hard booming drums to create a very scary and eerie vibe to his musical style and direction. He truly is a one of a kind artist.

2. SuicideBoys

Suicideboys truly shaped the game with again very hard sounds but sounds that originated from rock and metal music. Their vocals are heavily distorted which again took a lot from rock music prior to the music that they make now. And in turn becoming trailblazers giving way for other artists to create metal and rock infused hip hop.

3. Swerzie

One of the heads of IcyRotten, Swerzie helped to bring the underground to light beside two of the above hip hop artists. With the help of certain mainstream artists, including Yung Gravy and BBNO$, Swerzie helped to bring heavy 808’s and hard hitting drums to the mainstream that is made and played now.

Ever since we lost our beloved Metro, we have tons of new producers that have come up to fill in the shoes of the legend himself. So we took it on ourselves to go ahead and rank some of the best producers making beats right now. Check the list and our reasoning below.

1. Metro Boomin

One of the best producers to ever join the game, Metro Boomin is truly one of a kind producer for a couple reasons. For starters Metro Boomin created one of the most iconic baselines that often is used in many different hip-hop songs. He also was one of the first producers to market himself rather than the artists that he was working for. And became a trailblazer for other producers looking to do the same thing. Now producers are just as famous as some rappers on the scene.

2. Kenny Beats

Another producer that truly came from his own cloth. He firstly was not just a hip hop producer. Before he entered the trap scene, Kenny was an EDM producer and had a lot of different skills that normal producers on the scene did not have. Kenny went ahead and started on the scene by working with mainstream artists including 6lack, Kendrick Lamar, and SkimasktheSlumpgod just to name a few. He than proceeded to open his own show called the cave where he makes a beat for an artist on the spot and the artists freestyles on the beat. It is a great premise and is very successful.

3. Nick Mira

Starting only at home on his small laptop, Nick Mira was one of a kind with his intricate melodies, and even more intricate drums. Nick Mira has had a ton of experience with beat making to the point where he makes hit beats in under 10 minutes and ends up producing up to 30 beats a day if he goes without stopping. Nick Mira is a one of a kind producer that currently is one of the best and youngest doing it.

Some people believe that this technically is the same as our underground blog. But we tend to disagree. Underground rappers are much different and quite distinct compared to some of the new blood coming on the scene now. So below we chose a whole new list of rappers that will take the new year of 2020 by storm.

1. bbno$

With his hit single “lalala” bbno$ took over the scene for quite awhile since he dropped this hit single. Including the tik tok scene he went ahead and dropped an entire tape and it has been said that the numbers have been incredible on first week. We believe that he will be a staple to the hip hop community as he continues to grow.

2. Lil Mosey

Lil Mosey dropped a fire debut album which charted with multiple songs upon release. He than proceeded to do many iconic features before releasing his own album which upon release has been charting. Already proving that he will take over the next year.

3. Stormzy

Originally from the U.K. Stormzy has a lot of traction where he is from and now its spreading over to North America. After releasing two amazing singles that did amazing numbers on release, Stormzy is currently set to release a huge album with many people anticipating the release already. Stormzy is projected to take over the entire hip-hop scene next year.
